History of Ninja Arts

The ninja arts were not created for making money, nor for fame or glory. They were created to minimize damage from war and for defense against enemies. You could say that the ninja arts are “martial art without atrocity”, or that they are a martial art without sound, smell or fame. A person whose name and face were well known could not become a ninja. In order to maintain purity of their hearts, the ninja did a lot of hard training and exercises for developing patience.
